Hi, I'm Rachel Kim.
I am a PhD student in Societal Computing at Carnegie Mellon University in the School of Computer Science's Software and Societal Systems Department. I am advised by Hoda Heidari and Rayid Ghani.
My research interests lie broadly in the intersections between artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and public policy. I am interested in both developing AI and ML for public policy problems and conversely developing policy for responsible AI and ML.
I completed my HBSc in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Toronto. During my undergraduate years, I had the honour of working with Ashton Anderson and Peter Marbach.
